Are tea bags killing us

My mind was blown resonantly upon learning that the humble cup of tea could actually be a cup of poison.

We are drinking billions of microplastics with each cup. Think about it you pop your plastic made tea bag in the cup, or paper/plastic blend tea bag, then pour the boiling hot water over it leaching billions of microplastics and billions of even smaller nanoplastic particles into your cup........aaaarrrrrrhhhhhh!!!!!!

To be honest I have never thought about the fact that tea bags were made from plastic and heat sealed on the outside to contain the tea inside.

I buy organic tea and just presumed that it was what I was getting.

The other issue is if your tea bag has a string on it and it's stapled that is a potential for the metals to leach into your tea, and if the tea bag isn't heat sealed, it is glued to keep the tea in or the string on, oh my goodness! Imagine the thousands of cups of tea we consume over a lifetime and the toxic consequences it could have caused.

So despite the fact that all those cups of tea have been consumed and we cannot do anything to change the past. We can find a positive light going forward.

Now not all teas have a plastic or paper/plastic blend tea bag, some are completely plastic free, however just to be safe. Go old school - loose leaf tea and a tea pot or a stainless steel tea strainer made for individual cups of tea. This way we can still enjoy our organic tea without the extra addition of harmful chemicals.
