From the Earth collection 2026
New work ‘From the Earth’ by rural Australian Artist, Storm Lahiff.
These works are formed from the earth itself—wild pigments, hand-ground from the landscape, combined with traces of mineral oxides, formed onto cotton canvas and held within reclaimed timber from naturally fallen radiator pine.
Each board is cut and shaped by hand, becoming part of the arts language. Surface and support are inseparable; the material holds its own memory of place.
There is a quiet attempt to hold onto something fleeting—to honour the land with care and attention. In a time of increasing distance from the natural world, these pieces offer a way to remain close.
A fragment of earth, gathered and given form.
A small presence of awe.
Something to live with, and return to.
