a logos journey; sketch - ink - digital vector.

I have been working on this for a while, sketching on scraps of paper until I got a design that I loved - I wanted something that represents me, was unique and could run across my photography/film and fine art.

After many variations I put this together and I love it.

The SL is how I have always signed my art - Storm Lahiff, I hand sketched this, then created an ink version and finally a vector - the digital version that can be used in any application.

If you have followed along for a while, I have been through a few logos trying to find the right one. While I loved my eagle design and created a few versions of them over the years, I didn't want anyone to be offended or it to be misinterpreted by cultural appropriation.

I feel my new design is me all over. The top is two fold; a rising sun - the light that allows me to create my work and the top of an eye - because observing is my profession.
